I was hungry and had some Naan Bread. But that wasn’t enough. In the fridge I managed to find some carrot/potato cheese and some homemade hummus as well. Now that I could go for!
I just added a little red bell pepper and some sautéd mushrooms and a few herbs to top it off. Olala, was it ever yummy! And here the best hummus recipe I have ever tasted. Simple, but sure is tasty. Try it.
You will need
5.3 oz/¾ cup (150 g) chick peas, cooked
2 t tahini paste (roasted ground sesame seeds)
3 T oil
1 clove garlic, coarsely chopped
cumin to taste
2 t lemon juice
¼ t agave syrup instead of honey
salt, pepper, a little curry, or Ras el hanout (spice mix from Morocco)
black cumin /black caraway (optional) to sprinkle on the finished hummus
Rinse the chickpeas in cold water and pour into the food processor. Add everything except the oil and black cumin/black caraway. Turn on the food processor and pour in the oil.
