Savoy Cabbage Rolls

I should have made the theme of MoFo: 101 Things to do with spelt! Because I love the spelt-couscous mixture, it being like ground beef, only better!

Houston trying to eat the biggest savoy cabbage in the world!

And today, instead of doing all the things that I am busy neglecting, like cleaning, making lesson plans, planning our mega cooking event, etc., I spent the entire day making savoy cabbage rolls and onion gravy! Yum.

The ingredients

And it looks like we will be eating
them allllll week. But they are sure to be good, so I don’t mind at all.

First I made the spelt- couscous mixture.

Then rolled it up in the savoy cabbage leaves and finished off by browning them in the frying pan and then cooking them in the pot with the onion gravy.

The thing about Ju and I is that we both like something to really fill us up. Something hearty. And the cabbage rolls are just the thing!

Compliment that with a lovely salad and that’s all you really need…

….that is until the next meal.
